Why I’m Joining Ship 30 for 30

I’ve been following Dickie Bush and Nicolas Cole for years (time flies by really fast!). Ever since I’ve heard of Ship 30 for 30 I wanted to join the cohort. So I’ve decided to start 2024 by completing a long-term goal.

Here are 3 reasons why:

  1. I stopped writing in August 2023. I was at a pretty low place, overwhelmed, couldn’t sleep and producing content was draining the last bit of energy I had in me. I could either stop or break down. Ship 30 is here to help me get back and create content consistently.
  2. Imagine writing as binge eating. You only write a couple of times, but when you do you try to produce content for one or two months. This allowed me to be active on social but I had no pleasure in what I was creating. Think of Ship 30 as a good and healthy diet, helping me with good habits and processes.
  3. At the end of the day, creating content can be a very solitary activity. It’s you and the blue light LED screen staring at you. Ship 30 brings along an incredibly active community of writers from all over the world, willing to help and be helped. We’re all in this together and somehow it just makes everything seem easier and more pleasurable.

Over the next 30 days, I plan on writing about leadership, tech and how you can build a kick-ass team culture.

Join me on this adventure: 30 days, 30 challenges, 30 essays, 30 thoughts, and 30 new pieces of content.

Ahoy mates! 🚢
